Before you panic about tomorrow, look to where your help comes from

When tomorrow feels too big, Psalm 121 helps you pause, lift your eyes, and remember where your help comes from.

Tomorrow can start feeling huge before it even arrives: a test, a conversation, a decision, or just the pressure to keep up. You do not have to face the whole future in one glance.

Before you panic about tomorrow, look to where your help comes from.

Today’s meditation

Psalm 121 begins, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?” (Psalm 121:1–2, NIV).

The psalm does not pretend the road is easy. It starts by turning your attention toward the One who made heaven and earth. You can still prepare, ask for help, or have a hard conversation—but you are not your own only source of strength.

A two-minute step

Look up from your screen for ten seconds. Read Psalm 121:2 slowly, then write one sentence: “My help comes from the Lord, so today I will ____.” Fill in one doable action.

Prayer

God, when tomorrow feels bigger than me, lift my eyes back to You. Give me help for today and courage for the next small step. Amen.
