Review the week without turning tiredness into a verdict
Before a new week starts, notice what God carried you through and choose one faithful lesson to bring forward.
You are sitting with your backpack nearby, thinking about the week: the assignment you finished, the conversation you wish had gone differently, and the things you did only because you were already exhausted. Saturday can make the whole week feel like one final grade.
Review the week without turning tiredness into a verdict.
Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” The prayer is not asking you to replay every mistake until you feel worse. It is asking God to help you notice what is true. You were tired, but tired does not mean you failed. You may have learned where you need rest, where you need help, or where one small act of courage mattered.
Take two minutes today. Write one sentence: “This week, God helped me…” Then write one sentence: “Next week, I want to practice…” Keep the second sentence small enough to do on an ordinary school day.
You do not have to carry the whole week into tomorrow. Carry one honest lesson. Next week begins with a different challenge: telling the truth without letting other people’s misunderstanding control you.
God, help me look back with wisdom instead of shame, and carry forward what is faithful. Amen.
