God can meet you in the feelings you cannot explain

You do not need perfect words to come to God. Psalm 62:8 invites you to pour out your heart and let Him meet you honestly.

A quiet place to bring your honest feelings to God.

Sometimes you know you feel bad, but you cannot explain why. Maybe you are irritated, embarrassed, lonely, or numb all at once. You do not have to untangle every feeling before you talk to God.

God can meet you in the feelings you cannot explain.

The Bible says, “Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge” (Psalm 62:8, NIV). Pouring out your heart does not mean making your prayer sound impressive. It means bringing what is actually there. God is not scared off by the parts of your day that feel messy, and you do not have to hide behind “I’m fine.”

You can be honest without letting one emotion define you. Feeling rejected does not mean you are worthless. Feeling angry does not mean you are a bad person. Bring the feeling to God, and let His presence be bigger than the feeling.

Take two minutes: write three words for how you feel right now, then say, “God, this is what is in me. Please meet me here.”

God, You already know what I feel, even when I cannot name it. Help me bring my honest heart to You and remember that You are my refuge. Amen.
