God is near when disappointment hurts
Disappointment can make you feel alone or forgotten. God comes near to the brokenhearted, and you can bring him the hurt honestly.
Disappointment can make you want to act like you do not care. Maybe you were not chosen, a friendship changed, a test went badly, or something you prayed for did not happen.
God is near when disappointment hurts.
The Bible says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18). You do not have to make the hurt sound smaller before bringing it to God. He is not embarrassed by your tears or irritated by your questions.
Take two minutes today. Tell God in one honest sentence what disappointed you. Then put one hand on your chest, take three slow breaths, and ask for help with the next gentle thing you can do.
This disappointment is real, but it is not the whole story. You are not alone in it.
