God is your help before you have a plan

A short teen devotional on Psalm 121:1-2 for when school, decisions, or emotions feel bigger than your plan.

Some days start before you feel ready. Your homework, messages, family stuff, and decisions can stack up until it feels like you need a perfect plan just to breathe.

God is your help before you have a plan.

Psalm 121 begins with a simple question: "Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."

That does not mean every problem disappears in one second. It means you are not walking into the day alone. The God who made heaven and earth is not confused by your schedule, your emotions, your grades, or the conversation you do not know how to handle.

Ask yourself: where am I trying to be my own help today?

For the next two minutes, sit still with both feet on the floor. Breathe in and say, "My help comes from the Lord." Breathe out and name one thing you are handing to Him. Then take the next small step in front of you.

Lord, I keep trying to figure everything out by myself. Remind me that my help comes from You. Stay near to me today, steady my thoughts, and help me take one faithful step. Amen.
