You might know what you need to say but still feel your courage disappear when the moment comes. Maybe you need to tell the truth, ask for help, or say no to something that does not feel right.

Courage can start with one honest sentence.

God tells Joshua, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Courage does not mean your stomach never twists. It means you do not have to face the moment alone.

Take two minutes today. Write the sentence you are afraid to say. Read it once to God, then decide whether your next step is to speak it kindly to the right person or ask a trusted adult to help you. You only need the next faithful step.

God is with you in the conversation, the boundary, and the first small act of honesty.
