You can be honest with God before you know what to say

You do not need the perfect words to come to God. Psalm 62:8 gives you permission to pour out what is really happening.

You can be honest with God before you know what to say.

Sometimes you are upset, tired, embarrassed, or confused, but you cannot turn the feeling into a neat prayer. You may even think you need to calm down before you come to God.

You do not. God is not waiting for a polished version of your heart. You can bring Him the real thing.

The Bible says, "Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge." Pouring out your heart can be simple and unfinished. God can handle the sentence that begins, “I do not know what I feel.”

What are you trying to hide because you do not have the right words yet?

Take one tiny step: set a two-minute timer and write three honest words about today. Read them to God without explaining or fixing them. Then sit quietly for one breath.

Lord, here is what is really happening in me. You are my refuge, even when I cannot explain it. Help me trust You with the unfinished parts. Amen.
