You can rest before everything is finished
You do not have to finish every task before you come to Jesus. A short Christian meditation for teens on receiving his rest today.
Your list may still be long. There may be homework to finish, messages to answer, and things you wish you had handled better. You can come to Jesus before all of it is done.
You can rest before everything is finished.
Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Read Matthew 11:28
Rest is not a prize you earn after performing perfectly. It is an invitation from Jesus when you are already tired. You do not have to organize your whole life before you let him meet you in it.
Take two minutes today. Put your phone face down, loosen your shoulders, and tell Jesus one unfinished thing you are carrying. Breathe in slowly and say, “I can bring this to you.”
Jesus, I bring you what is unfinished and heavy. Teach me to receive your rest today. Amen.
