God is with you in the ordinary moment

Not every day feels dramatic or spiritual. A short meditation for noticing God's presence in one ordinary moment today.

A quiet desk with a glass of water, a closed notebook, and a small plant in soft morning light

Some days feel ordinary: class, chores, messages, and the next thing on your list. That does not mean God is far away.

God is with you in the ordinary moment.

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Read Psalm 46:10

You do not have to create a perfect spiritual feeling before God can meet you. He is present while you wait for the bus, open your laptop, eat breakfast, or sit quietly in your room. The ordinary moment is still a place where you can remember him.

Take two minutes today to stop what you are doing. Put both feet on the floor, breathe slowly, and say, “God, you are here.” Notice one thing you can see, one thing you can hear, and one thing you can give back to God.

God, help me notice that you are with me in this ordinary moment. Make me still enough to remember you. Amen.
