You can take the next step without seeing the whole path

When the future feels blurry, God does not ask you to solve everything today—just to trust Him with the next faithful step.

God can give enough light for the next step.

The future can feel like a hallway with the lights turned off. You may be thinking about school, friendships, family, or who you are becoming—and wishing someone would show you the entire route.

You can take the next step without seeing the whole path. God may not show you every turn at once, but He is faithful to give you what you need for the step in front of you.

Today’s meditation material (Scripture)

A lamp does not light the whole road miles ahead. It gives enough light to keep you from stumbling right now. Scripture can do that for you: bring truth to the conversation, choice, or worry directly in front of you.

You do not have to solve your whole life before breakfast. You can ask, “What is the next faithful thing I can do?” Then take that step with God.

Tiny step (≤2 minutes)

  • Write down one decision or worry about the future. Under it, write one small action you can take today. Pray, “God, light my next step,” and do that action.

Prayer (optional)

  • God, I cannot see everything ahead, but You can. Give me enough light for today and courage to take the next faithful step. Amen.
