God gives courage for the conversation you keep avoiding

A short Christian meditation for teens about asking God for courage, love, and self-control before a hard conversation.

A calm desk with a notebook, a face-down phone, and a blue pen in soft morning light.

Some conversations get heavier the longer you avoid them.

Maybe you need to apologize. Maybe you need to ask for help. Maybe you need to tell the truth without turning it into a fight.

God gives courage for the conversation you keep avoiding.

Paul reminds Timothy, "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline" (2 Timothy 1:7 NIV).

Courage does not mean you suddenly feel fearless. It means you do the next right thing with God near you.

Power helps you not shrink back. Love helps you not attack. Self-discipline helps you slow down before your words run ahead of your heart.

What would change if you asked God to shape the tone before you started the conversation?

Tiny step: take 30 seconds and pray, "God, give me power, love, and self-control." Then write one calm opening sentence you could actually say.

Prayer: God, help me stop hiding from what needs honesty. Give me courage without harshness, love without fear, and self-control when I feel nervous. Amen.
