God gives wisdom when you do not know what to do

When a choice feels messy, you can ask God for wisdom before you move.

A quiet desk with an open notebook, a pencil, and earbuds in soft morning light.

Some choices feel too small to pray about, until they start taking over your mind. What should you say? Should you go? Should you post it, answer it, ignore it, or wait?

God gives wisdom when you do not know what to do.

James says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God" (James 1:5). You do not have to act like you already know the perfect move. You can slow down and ask the God who sees more than you can see.

Wisdom is not just knowing facts. It is knowing the next faithful step when your feelings are loud.

Tiny step

  • Before one decision today, pause for ten seconds and pray: "God, give me wisdom for this next choice."

Prayer

  • God, I do not always know what to do. Please give me wisdom, patience, and courage for my next step. Amen.
