God made you on purpose, even when you feel awkward

Some days your body, your face, your voice, or your personality can feel like a problem you wish you could edit. Maybe a photo looked weird. Maybe someone made a comment. Maybe you just woke up feeling uncomfortable in your own skin.

God made you on purpose, even when you feel awkward.

David prayed, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).

That does not mean you will love every mirror moment. It means your value is not waiting for the perfect angle, clearer skin, a different body, or more confidence. Before anyone had an opinion about you, God already knew you and made you with care.

Where are you being hardest on yourself today?

Take 60 seconds. Put one hand over your heart, breathe slowly, and say: “God, I am made by You. Help me treat myself with care today.”

God, when I feel awkward or not enough, remind me that You made me with purpose. Teach me to see myself with more honesty, more patience, and more grace. Amen.
