Small obedience still counts
Small obedience still counts.
It is easy to think only the big moments matter. The big decision. The big prayer. The big change everyone can see. But most faithfulness happens in smaller places, the places nobody claps for.
Jesus said, "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much" (Luke 16:10, NIV). That means the small thing in front of you matters to God. The honest answer. The apology you keep putting off. The choice to close the app and do what you already know is right.
You do not have to do something huge today to walk with God. You just have to stop calling small obedience small.
What is one little thing you already know God wants you to do today?
Tiny step: Take ninety seconds and write one sentence: "Today I will honor God by ____." Then do that one thing before noon.
Prayer: Jesus, make me faithful in the small things. Help me obey You when no one notices and when it does not feel impressive. Grow a steady heart in me today. Amen.
