A Noisy Feed Does Not Get to Name What Matters Today
Your attention is precious, and a noisy feed does not have to decide what matters. Colossians 3:2 offers a small reset for today.
Your attention is precious. A noisy feed does not get to name what matters today.
Today's meditation
“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” — Colossians 3:2
The first few minutes of your morning can fill your mind with other people's opinions, milestones, arguments, and urgency. Before you have chosen what to carry, the feed has already handed you a list.
Paul's words are not a demand to ignore ordinary life. They are an invitation to choose where your mind returns. Jesus is not competing for a leftover corner of your attention. He is worthy of your first honest focus.
One tiny step
Set your phone face down for two minutes. Read Colossians 3:2 once, then say: “Jesus, help me notice what deserves my attention today.” Choose one faithful task and begin it before opening the feed.
Lord, gather my scattered attention. Help me receive this day from you instead of from the noise around me. Amen.
