You Do Not Have to Answer Every Signal Before You Listen to Jesus
When notifications, opinions, and uncertainty compete for your attention, Jesus still invites you to recognize his voice and respond from peace.
You do not have to answer every signal before you listen to Jesus.
Today's meditation
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” — John 10:27
Your phone can make every message feel urgent. Other people's timelines can make every choice feel public. Anxiety can make you believe you need an immediate answer just to feel safe.
Jesus does not lead you through the loudest signal. He knows you. His voice does not compete for attention by creating panic. Before you reply, decide, or explain yourself, you can become quiet enough to notice the Shepherd who is already calling you toward trust.
Ask yourself: Which voice has been setting the pace of my day?
One tiny step
Put your phone face down for one minute. Read John 10:27 slowly twice. On the second reading, breathe out the words, “Jesus, help me listen.”
Prayer
Jesus, quiet the noise that keeps me reacting. Help me recognize your voice and follow you with peace today. Amen.
