A Distracted Morning Does Not Disqualify You from Meeting God Today
A scattered start does not put you outside God's presence. Mark 1:35 offers a simple way to return to Him today without shame.
A distracted morning does not disqualify you from meeting God today.
Today's meditation
Maybe your first minutes were already crowded: notifications, a rushed commute, a meeting you are dreading, or a mind that would not settle. You do not have to perform calmness before you come to God.
Mark 1:35 says, “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” Read Mark 1:35
Jesus made space to pray, but this verse is not a scorecard for your morning routine. It is an invitation to return. The day may have started scattered; you can still turn toward God in the middle of it. His presence is not reserved for the version of you who began perfectly.
One tiny step
Put your phone face down for sixty seconds. Breathe slowly and say, “God, I am here. Help me notice You in this next minute.”
Prayer
God, thank You that I can return to You without pretending I had a perfect start. Gather my attention and meet me in this moment. Amen.
