Your identity in Christ is steadier than people's approval
When approval feels urgent, Galatians 1:10 helps you return to a steadier question: whom are you serving today?
Your identity in Christ is steadier than people's approval
You do not have to make every decision prove that you are enough.
Approval can make ordinary moments feel like auditions: a message sits unanswered, your work gets reviewed, or someone else's progress appears on your screen. The pressure is real, but it does not have to choose your next move.
Paul asks, "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?" (Galatians 1:10).
This is not a call to ignore people. It is a return to the right center. Your identity is not rebuilt every time someone responds, applauds, overlooks, or disagrees. God sees you before the outcome arrives.
One tiny step: before your next approval-shaped decision, pause for 60 seconds and pray, "God, make faithfulness more important to me than being impressive."
Then take the smallest honest action you already know is right.
Jesus, quiet my need to be approved by everyone. Root me in Your love, and help me serve You faithfully in the next thing before me. Amen.
