Let Gentleness Choose Your Next Reply
When a message hits a nerve, you can pause before replying. Let God shape your tone instead of letting anxiety write the words.
You do not have to answer from the first emotion a message creates. A short pause can make room for a response shaped by wisdom instead of anxiety, anger, or the need to win.
Proverbs 15:1 says, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Gentleness is not weakness or pretending that something did not hurt. It is choosing words that leave room for truth without adding unnecessary heat.
This matters in a tense text thread, a difficult conversation at work, or a relationship where you are afraid of being misunderstood. God is present before you hit send. You can ask Him to govern your tone, then speak honestly and kindly.
