God Is Not Annoyed by the Question You Keep Bringing Back

When you still do not know what to do, you can bring the same question to God again and ask him for wisdom without shame.

A quiet dawn path opening through golden grass
You can bring the same question to God again.

Some questions do not disappear after one prayer. You may still be unsure about the job, the relationship, the move, or the next message. That does not mean you are failing at faith.

God does not become impatient because you need wisdom more than once. You can return to him with the same question, honestly and without trying to sound more certain than you are.

Today’s meditation material (Scripture)

Notice the invitation: if you lack wisdom, ask. The verse does not shame you for being unfinished or uncertain. God gives generously, and he does not make you defend why you are asking again.

Ask yourself: What question am I carrying as if I have to solve it alone?

Tiny step (≤2 minutes)

  • Put your phone face down. Say, “God, I lack wisdom about ____. Please give me what I need for the next faithful step.” Sit quietly for sixty seconds, then write one honest next action.

Prayer (optional)

God, you know the question I keep bringing back. Thank you that I can ask without shame. Give me wisdom for the next faithful step, and patience when the whole answer is not here yet. Amen.
