You Can Hand God the Anxiety You Keep Rehearsing
You do not have to keep rehearsing every possible problem; you can place today's anxiety in God's caring hands.
Anxiety often feels like preparation. You replay the conversation, predict the rejection, and run tomorrow through your mind one more time. But rehearsing every possible problem does not give you control; it only keeps your body and mind on alert.
Today's meditation
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7
God does not ask you to pretend the concern is small. He invites you to move it—to cast it onto Him because His care is real. You may not know what tomorrow will bring, but you do know who will meet you there.
When the same worry returns, you do not have to argue with it for an hour. You can name it before God and release it again. Trust is sometimes a quiet repetition: “This is too heavy for me to carry alone, and You care for me.”
One tiny step
Take two minutes. Write one sentence naming the anxiety you keep rehearsing. Under it, write: “God, I place this in Your care today.” Read 1 Peter 5:7 once, then return to the next thing in front of you.
Prayer
Lord, You know the worry I keep carrying into every moment. Help me release it to You—not because the future is simple, but because Your care is steady. Give me grace for today. Amen.
