Put God First Before the Day Pulls You
When everything feels urgent, seek Jesus first and let him order the rest of your day.
Before your inbox, before your feed, before the pressure to answer quickly, seek Jesus first. The day gets clearer when he comes first.
Today's meditation material (Scripture)
- Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
If your morning already feels noisy, this is not a call to do more. It is a call to reorder what matters first. Jesus does not ask you to earn peace by fixing everything. He asks you to give him first place, and let everything else take its rightful place after him.
Reflection question
- What is one thing you usually check before you check in with God?
Tiny step (≤2 minutes)
- Put your phone down, take one breath, and say: "Jesus, you come first in this day."
Prayer
- Lord Jesus, reorder my attention. Help me seek Your kingdom before I seek control, approval, or ease. Amen.
