God can steady your words before you send them

When a reply feels loaded, God's Word can help you pause before you send it.

You do not need to fire back right away. God can steady your words before you send them.

When a text, email, or comment lands wrong, the impulse is to answer fast. But fast is not always wise. Psalm 141:3 gives you a small prayer for the exact moment before you reply. "Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth." That is not silence forever. It is a request for holy pause.

If you feel the heat rise in your chest, do not force a perfect sentence. Stop. Breathe. Ask God to guard your words first, then answer with less force and more truth.

Tiny step: Before your next reply today, pause for five seconds and pray, "Lord, guard my mouth."

Prayer: Lord, slow me down where I am quick to react. Put Your peace between my feeling and my reply.
