Give God the weight you keep refreshing
A short Christian meditation on giving God the anxiety loop before it becomes your whole day.
Give God the weight you keep refreshing.
Some worries do not feel dramatic. They just keep asking for another check.
One more refresh. One more message. One more imagined version of what might happen. You tell yourself you are staying informed, but your chest knows the difference between wisdom and looping.
Peter gives a simple line for anxious people: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
Scripture does not ask you to pretend the weight is small. It asks you to put the weight somewhere stronger than your nervous system.
Today, your worry does not need to become a full plan before God can receive it. Hand Him the first version. The messy version. The one you have been carrying while trying to look normal.
Today's meditation material (Scripture)
- 1 Peter 5:7: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
Tiny step
- Set a two-minute timer. Name one worry out loud, then say: "God, I give You this care because You care for me."
Prayer
- Father, I keep trying to manage what I should be casting on You. Teach me to release the weight early, before anxiety becomes my whole day. Amen.
