Do the work in front of you for Jesus
The task in front of you is not too small to become worship.
Do the work in front of you for Jesus.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. - Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

Some work feels too ordinary to matter.
The email. The shift. The spreadsheet. The study session. The errand. The conversation you do not feel like having. It can all feel small, especially when nobody notices and nothing looks impressive from the outside.
Paul gives ordinary work a different center.
You are not only working for the person who evaluates you, pays you, replies to you, or ignores you. You are working before the Lord.
That changes the weight of today. You do not have to turn every task into a performance. You also do not have to despise small responsibilities because they are not your dream yet.
The task in front of you is not too small to become worship.
What ordinary responsibility have you been treating like it is beneath your calling?
One tiny step (2 minutes): Before your next task, pause and say: “Jesus, I offer this to You.” Then do the first small part with your full attention.
Lord Jesus, meet me in the work I already have today. Free me from performing for people and from resenting what feels small. Teach me to do the next task with a whole heart before You. Amen.
