Let God steady you before you step into the room
You do not have to enter today held together by your own nerves.
Let God steady you before you step into the room.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. - Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

Some rooms feel heavy before you walk into them.
The meeting where you want to sound capable. The church lobby where you hope you are not awkward. The family conversation you have been replaying in your head. The date, the interview, the group chat, the place where you wonder if you will be enough.
Isaiah does not say peace comes from controlling every outcome. It says God keeps in perfect peace the person whose mind is steadfast because that person trusts Him.
That means your first work is not to impress the room. It is to return your mind to the God who is already there.
You can breathe before you perform. You can trust before you explain. You can be steadied by God before anyone has an opinion about you.
Where are you trying to enter today with your nerves holding everything together?
One tiny step (2 minutes): Before you walk into the next room, meeting, or conversation, pause at the door and pray: “God, keep my mind with You.”
Father, steady my mind in Your presence today. When I feel pressure to perform, remind me that You are with me before I enter, while I speak, and after I leave. Keep me in Your peace. Amen.
