Take every thought to Christ before it takes over you
Take every thought to Christ before it takes over you.
We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. — 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)

Not every thought deserves a seat at the table.
Some thoughts walk in loud. You are behind. You are not enough. If you do not solve everything right now, everything will fall apart. When those thoughts keep looping, they start to feel true just because they are familiar.
But 2 Corinthians 10:5 gives you a different move. Take the thought captive. Do not let it run your mood, your choices, or your sense of worth. Bring it to Christ. Hold it next to His truth.
A captive thought is a slowed-down thought. It is a thought you stop, name, and surrender. You do not have to obey every anxious sentence your mind produces. In Jesus, your mind does not have to stay unmanaged.
Ask yourself this morning, which thought has been talking the most, and does it actually sound like something Christ is saying?
One tiny step (≤2 minutes): Write down one anxious thought. Under it, write, "I give this thought to Christ." Then read 2 Corinthians 10:5 out loud once.
Jesus, teach me to notice the thoughts that pull me away from You. Help me slow them down, surrender them, and let Your truth lead my mind today. Amen.
