Commit your work before you open your laptop
Commit your work before you open your laptop.
Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. — Proverbs 16:3 (NLT)

It is easy to start the day already mentally behind. Notifications are waiting. Deadlines are real. Your mind starts racing before your feet even hit the floor.
Proverbs 16:3 gives you a better starting point. Before you try to control the outcome, commit the work itself to the Lord. Give Him the meeting, the task list, the pressure, and the part of you that wants to prove something.
This does not mean every plan will unfold exactly how you want. It means your day does not have to rest on your own strength alone. God cares about your work, and He is able to steady your motives, your pace, and your next step.
If you feel scattered this morning, do not begin with panic. Begin with surrender. Let your first act of productivity be trust.
One tiny step (≤2 minutes): Before you open your laptop or check your inbox again, pause and whisper, "Lord, I give You today's work." Then name your first task out loud and offer that specific task to Him.
Jesus, keep me from building today on pressure and self-reliance. I give You my work, my plans, and my need to prove myself. Lead me in a steady pace and a faithful spirit. Amen.
