You are God's masterpiece

You are God's masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus.

For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. — Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

When you scroll through social media and see everyone's polished highlight reels, it's easy to feel like you're falling behind. The curated careers, relationships, and lifestyles can make your own journey feel messy and incomplete.

But here's the truth: you're not a work in progress that needs fixing. You're a masterpiece in progress. The word "masterpiece" in Greek is poiēma — where we get "poem." You are God's living poem, carefully crafted with intention and purpose.

Your value isn't determined by your productivity, your relationship status, or how many likes your latest post gets. Your worth was established before you opened your first social media account. You were designed with specific good works in mind — not generic tasks, but meaningful contributions that fit who you are.

One tiny step (≤2 minutes): Put your phone down. Look at your hands — the same hands God crafted. Take three deep breaths and whisper: "I am God's masterpiece, created for good works."

Father, thank you for seeing me as your masterpiece even when I feel like a rough draft. Help me today to see myself through your eyes, not through the filters of comparison. Amen.
