My grace is sufficient for you

My grace is sufficient for you

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

That text message you're overthinking. The project deadline looming. The comparison trap on social media. We all have moments where we feel inadequate, where our weaknesses seem to define us.

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." — 2 Corinthians 12:9

Paul wrote these words while dealing with a "thorn in the flesh" — some persistent struggle that wouldn't go away despite his prayers. God's answer wasn't removal, but revelation: His grace is enough. His power shines brightest not when we're strong, but when we acknowledge we're not.

One tiny step (≤2 minutes): When you notice that inner critic today — the voice saying "you're not enough" — pause. Take one deep breath and whisper: "Your grace is sufficient for me." That's it. No elaborate prayer needed. Just the acknowledgment.

Short prayer: God, in my moments of feeling insufficient, remind me that Your strength meets me right there. Your grace covers what I lack. Help me lean into Your sufficiency today. Amen.
