God has good plans for your future
When you're stressed about what comes next—college, career, relationships—remember: God knows the path ahead and has good plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
The future can feel like a giant question mark.
What college? What career? What if I pick wrong? What if I'm not good enough?
It's easy to get stuck in the "what ifs." But God isn't surprised by your future—He's already there.
Today's meditation material (Scripture)
- Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
This verse wasn't written to one person feeling anxious about their life plan. It was written to a whole nation in exile—people who had lost everything and didn't know what came next.
If God could speak hope into that situation, He can speak hope into yours too.
Reflection question
What's one thing about your future that makes you feel anxious or excited right now?
Tiny step (≤2 minutes)
- Take out your phone or a piece of paper.
- Write down one worry about your future in 3-5 words.
- Below it, write: "God knows the plans."
- Take a deep breath and let that worry sit with God for a minute.
You don't have to figure it all out today. You just have to take the next step.
Prayer (optional)
God, the future feels big and uncertain. Thank You that You already know the path ahead. Help me trust Your good plans for me, even when I can't see them yet. Give me peace about today and hope for tomorrow. Amen.
