You can ask God for wisdom today
When you don’t know what to do next, God isn’t annoyed by your questions—He invites you to ask.
You can ask God for wisdom today.
Sometimes the stressful part isn’t even the problem. It’s the decision.
What do I say back? Who do I sit with? Do I quit? Do I apologize? Do I tell the truth even if it’s awkward?
God isn’t rolling His eyes at you.
Today’s meditation material (Scripture)
- James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
That line “without finding fault” matters. It means God is not annoyed that you need help.
Wisdom isn’t just “being smart.” It’s knowing what’s right, what’s loving, and what’s actually worth it.
So if you feel stuck, you don’t have to guess your way through today. You can ask.
Reflection question
What is one choice you’ve been overthinking because you’re scared of getting it wrong?
Tiny step (≤2 minutes)
Do this once:
- Put your phone facedown.
- Say: “God, I need wisdom.”
- Name one decision in one sentence.
- Ask for one next step (not the whole plan).
Then do one quiet thing that matches wisdom: breathe, pause, and don’t rush your reply.
Prayer (optional)
God, I don’t know what to do next. Thank You that You give wisdom generously. Show me the next right step today, and help me trust You with what I can’t see yet. Amen.
