Hand God your worries
Anxiety loves to make you feel alone. But God actually cares—so you can hand Him what’s heavy, one worry at a time.
Key line: God isn’t asking you to carry everything—He’s asking you to hand it to Him.
Anxiety lies in a super specific way: it says, “You’re on your own.”
But Scripture doesn’t say God tolerates you. It says He cares about you. That changes the whole vibe. You’re not bothering Him with your worries. You’re bringing them to the One who loves you.
Today’s meditation material (Scripture)
- 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT): “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
One sharp point: God’s care is bigger than your fear.
Your worries don’t disappear because you pretend you’re fine. They shrink when you stop gripping them like they’re yours to solve alone.
(Optional reflection question) What’s the worry you keep replaying in your head on loop?
Tiny step (≤2 minutes)
Do a “worry handoff” right now:
- In your notes app (or on paper), write 3 worries in three short phrases.
- Open your hands (for real) and pray: “Jesus, I give You this.”
- For each worry, say one sentence: “I trust You with ____.”
That’s it. You can come back and do another handoff later today.
Prayer
Jesus, You see what’s stressing me out. I don’t want to pretend I’m okay—I want to trust You. Help me release what I can’t control and rest in Your care. Amen.
