God is not in a rush with you

Key line: God isn’t pacing and tapping His foot—He’s patient, present, and kind. One tiny step: take 60 seconds to breathe and surrender your timeline to Him.

Some days you wake up and feel like you’re already late—late to be “better,” late to have it together, late to stop struggling with the same thing.

Read

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14, ESV)

Key line

God is not in a rush with you.

One thing to notice

The Bible doesn’t say, “Hurry up and fix yourself.” It says wait for the Lord—and that waiting isn’t empty.

Waiting with God looks like:

  • choosing courage when you don’t feel brave
  • staying honest when you’d rather pretend
  • taking the next right step even if it’s tiny

If you feel behind, here’s a truth that can calm your nervous system: God’s pace is love. He’s not trying to embarrass you into growth. He’s forming you—steady, patient, and close.

One tiny step (60 seconds)

Set a timer for 1 minute.

  1. Put one hand on your chest.
  2. Inhale slowly and pray (in your head): “God, I’m here.”
  3. Exhale slowly and pray: “I trust Your timing.”

Repeat until the timer ends.

Short prayer

Jesus, I’m tired of feeling behind. Teach my heart to wait for You with courage. Help me take my next step today without panic. Thank You that You’re patient with me and present with me. Amen.
