You can make a safe plan before saying yes online

An online invitation can feel exciting and still deserve a safety plan. Proverbs 22:3 gives you permission to pause, notice danger, and ask for help.

A phone, notebook, and key on a quiet entryway table

You get a message inviting you to meet someone you know only from online. The plan sounds exciting, and everyone says you are overthinking it. But one detail feels off, and you are not sure whether asking an adult will make you look childish.

You can make a safe plan before saying yes online.

Today’s devotional material (Scripture)

Wisdom is not panic. It is noticing what deserves attention and choosing protection before pressure makes the choice for you. God is not asking you to prove your courage by ignoring a warning.

One question

What part of this plan would I want a trusted adult to know before I agree?

Tiny step (≤2 minutes)

Do not reply yes yet. Screenshot the invitation and send it to a trusted adult with this message: “Can you help me think through whether this is safe?”

Prayer

Jesus, help me notice danger without shame and choose wisdom without fear. Give me the courage to ask for help before I say yes. Amen.
