Be still, and know that I am God

Be still, and know that I am God

Be still, and know that I am God.

In a world that never stops moving—notifications pinging, deadlines looming, endless scrolling—God invites you to a different rhythm. Not more doing, but simply being. Not more noise, but holy silence.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." — Psalm 46:10 (Read on Bible.com)

This isn't passive resignation. It's active trust. To be still means to stop striving, to release control, to acknowledge that God is God and you are not. It's in the stillness that we remember who holds the universe together.

One tiny step (≤2 minutes): Before you check your phone this morning, sit quietly for 60 seconds. No agenda, no prayer list. Just breathe and remember: God is God.

Prayer: God, my mind races and my schedule fills. Teach me what it means to be still before You. Help me trust that You are God—today, in this moment, in the middle of everything. Amen.
